This enchanted evening opens with Mendelssohn’s evocative Overture to A Midsummer Night’s Dream, as conductor Matthew Halls casts a spell under his mesmerizing wand. The dream continues with the “impeccable fiddling” (Gramophone) of Joshua Bell on Mozart’s spellbinding Violin Concerto in D major and closes with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 8.

“Evenings at the symphony don’t get more satisfying than this.” Musical Toronto on Matthew Halls
“Thrilling refinement and dynamic variety.” Cleveland Plain Dealer on Matthew Halls
